Hazards AP 2019

The Chemical Industries Council of Malaysia (CICM) is once again collaborating with the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) to organize the Hazards Asia Pacific 2019 Symposium which will be held from September 24-25, 2019 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

This collaboration will bring the HAZARDS brand to the South East Asia and the Asia Pacific regions. It will be a key forum for international process safety experts and professionals to discuss the latest developments and share examples of best practice on the challenges faced by chemical process operations in the Asia Pacific region and beyond.

To maintain competitiveness and improve their efficiency, many organizations are transforming their businesses through digitalization. New technologies are being adopted and new ecosystems associated with automation and the internet of things (IoT), are being implemented. In the chemical industry, there is potential for these changes to affect the process safety performance and culture. With these concerns in mind, "Culture, Technology and Responsibility" has been selected as the theme of this year's Symposium.
