Mock Assessment Workshop on Responsible Care Security Code - July 10-11, 2018

The workshop, sponsored by the US Department of State’ Chemical Security Programme was held to validate the Responsible Care’s Security Code checklist before it is introduced as a tool to evaluate the implementation level of the Security Code by chemical companies. The workshop comprised briefings conducted by the Security Code Task Force (SCTF) members on Day 1 at The Zenith Hotel Kuantan and followed by a mock assessment exercise at BASF PETRONAS Chemicals Sdn Bhd using the Security Code checklist on Day 2. It was attended by 15 participants comprising SCTF members, Awards assessors and representatives from the Government.

Moving forward, the SCTF will review the contents of the Security Code checklist and to consider drawing up further guidance document for members to have a better understanding in implementing the Code.
